Peter had a great story to share about an experience he had on Tuesday.
On Tuesday morning I was working in dilation with Luiza. We had two adorable little girls – probably 4th graders or thereabouts -- they were both really anxious about the drops and were both reduced to tears. We got all the rest of the kids out of the room and Luiza worked and worked and worked with one of the little girls until she finally got drops into both eyes. The second girl was still sobbing away and the one who had just had the drops came and sat beside her and held her hand and told her it would be OK. The second girl nodded and, still crying, said she would go ahead and take the drops – if her friend could hold her hand. She got through the drops just fine and then both girls fell into a big hug. It was a really sweet moment. -Peter Keam
Also today, Sara Bachman had a young girl tell her "Elvis is my Grandpa"
Today was also a very unusually hot day in Chicago, reaching over 80 degrees. We had some hot EyeVan volunteers, and some hot indoor volunteers too!

Wednesday night was a free night and a group went to Millenium Park to enjoy the art, as well as around the city to take in all the sights.
